The words of Arianna Errigo

Arianna Errigo è returned to talk about her future after the team foil final: "I decided to take one year at a time, I can no longer think about the four-year period. In London I was thinking about Rio, in Rio I was thinking about Tokyo, after Tokyo although my priority was to have a family Paris for me was very clear. Today Los Angeles I don’t see it as a safe Olympics. I’m 36 years old and I’m a mom, so many things have to be evaluated and I think it’s fair to evaluate them year by year. I would be presumptuous to say 'at 40 years old I will definitely be there in Los Angeles'".

"Which image do I take away from Paris? The one with the flag, for me è it was an incredible thrill, which surpassed the gold medal (team in London 2012, ed.). Representing your country…what more is there? I have always dreamed of being the best, but here è something that goes far beyond that. To arrive at 36 years old standard-bearer mom of wonderful twins".

" I came to this Olympics happy, regardless of the results. I would have liked to win the individual and team gold, though'even if we had placed fifth with all the bitterness and anger I won this Olympics. A year and four months ago I gave birth to twins. Nothing was a given, not even the Olympics, I not only arrived but I did it as a flag-bearer".
