Olimpia Milano, Maodo Lo’s future is decided
The German playmaker still has one year left on his contract with AX'AX
Germany finished the Olympic tournament in fourth place (defeated, in the final for third place, by Jokic’s Serbia). Lo did not make an impact. Reduced minutes for the Olimpia playmaker, on the court only against Japan (13') and Brazil (6'). In short, a disappointing rainbow review for Lo who now è called to decide his future.
Although he still has one year of guaranteed contract with the white-and-red company, his stay in Milan does not seem so certain, indeed there are those who are convinced that he will be sold to make room for a new point guard, perhaps Napier who, at the moment, is still without a team (perhaps he is waiting for the new offer from AX).
Lo has several admirers around Europe, particularly in Germany where he has some credit anyway for what he has done in the recent past. The next few days will be decisive as to whether he will stay in the red and white or pack his bags to get back into the game at another club.
Presumably, the 1992-class German playmaker will only consider high-profile clubs, possibly committed to the Euroleague. The final decision, as always, will be of the president, as well asé coach, Messina. After revolutionizing the entire roster, there's the final choice to be made: keep Lo or look for another playmaker to complete the team? We will know soon enough.
