Brindisi, Piero Bucchi sincere about the market
The words of Piero Bucchi
Piero Bucchi, coach of Valtur Brindisi, gave a long interview to the microphones of Supporters Magazine: "The league è new for everything. Twenty teams have never been there. It’s 38 games, 8 midweek rounds, 6 of which are away games for us. We have 7 away games in the first 11, so definitely a difficult league becauseé there are so many good teams and the schedule has not helped us".
"Però we are trying to get into condition – added the coach of the biancazzurri -, we started a few days ago. The team è a good mix of young and experienced players, now we have to work. We are waiting for the Americans: Ogden will arrive next Saturday, Allen around 20/22, it will depend on the visa. But I repeat: the team is working well, I think there is a good mix of young and experienced".
Then he talked about the market: "The improvement of the youngest will be crucial, as well as the possibility of drawing on the experience of the most experienced. It wasnè t an easy market, so many Italian players were under contract and therefore there were few available. All the teams were scrambling to try to grab the most prestigious players, so it è was not an easy summer".
"Having said that I am very happy with the guys who are here, I am convinced that they can do very well and we look forward with a lot of confidence" concluded Bucchi.
