Jasmine Paolini dà forfeit in Ningbo

Jasmine Paolini will not play the Ningbo WTA 500, in which she would have been the number one seed. The world number six, in fact, è was forced to forfeit due to a problem with her left foot. This was announced by the organizers of the Ningbo Open via the competition’s social channels.

"Unfortunately, first seed Jasmine Paolini è withdrew due to a left foot injury – reads the 'X' official profile of the Chinese tournament -. and number 3 seed Emma Navarro è withdrew due to illness. We wish them both a speedy recovery".

Beatriz Haddad Maia and Daria Kasatkina will respectively take the place of the Italian and the U.S. player in the scoreboard, in which Ella Seidel and Tamara Korpatsch will be included as lucky losers.

Paolini will return to the court in the WTA Finals in Riyadh, scheduled for Nov. 2-9, in which she will be engaged in both singles and doubles, paired with Sara Errani.
