Tadej Pogacar has extended his contract with the UAE team, with which he was already committed until 2027, to 2030.
The 26-year-old Slovenian concluded in early October, winning his fourth Giro di Lombardia, a legendary season in which he completed a Tour de France/Giro d'Italia double, before triumphing at the World Championships.
Winner also of two classics (Liège-Bastogne-Liège and Lombardia), he counts a total of 25 victories in 2024, a record achieved only by Alessandro Pettacchi, in 2005.
"I am very proud to extend my contract with the UAE. This team gives me the best chance to fight for victory and è exactly what I want to do", Pogacar said in a statement released by the UEA.
"Tadej è joined the team when he was an ambitious 20-year-old and we saw him grow to win the Giro d'Italia, Tour de France and World Championships", commented his manager Mauro Gianetti.
