Jannik Sinner wants to raise the bar in Paris
Jannik Sinner spoke at a press conference on the eve of Paris-Bercy, the last Masters 1000 of the season, starting Monday, Oct. 28. "È a very difficult draw,” he admitted, “especially on these courts. The 'big servers' are very tough to face here. But we go on day by day. Then anything can happen. The draw canò open up at times, or you never know what".
“I try to prepare as best I can for the first round match. Ità will be very difficult [if he faces] Ben Shelton. È very, very difficult either way…. So it will beà very tough" added the world number one.
The South Tyrolean has had only one victory in the last three years in Paris: "I am focused on myself and I hope I can raise the level compared to the last two years when I came here, where I struggled a little bit on this court. So we will see”.
“È it has been a long season, but when you get to the end anything can always happen. Some players are more fresh, others are more tired. But personally I am happy to be back here. È it was a tournament where I could not find my best tennis so far. But let's see what I can do this year. Hopefully it will be a good tournament but also very, very tough" concluded Sinner.
