Lautaro Martinez closed his countdown on the Ballon d'Or night in seventh place, behind even Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland but ahead of for example Lamine Yamal and Toni Kroos.

The Inter's captain was chosen to award teammate Emiliano Martinez with the second Yashin Trophy in a row and from the stage he took the opportunity to make a few brief statements.
