Mint Vero Volleyball Monza è won on tie-break over the Greeks of Olympiacos in the first day of the Champions League Group B.
The Brianza team, at its absolute debut in the top European competition, suffered against Aleksandar Atanasijevic (absolute top scorer of the match with 23 points) and teammates, but eventually brought home the success.
The guests, led on the court by Dragan Travica and on the bench by Andrea Gardini, led 1-0 and 2-1 but failed to close the score against the men of Massimo Eccheli, who was able to draw the joker.
