Lamine Yamal continues to amaze and breaks another record

Lamine Yamal writes another page of history. After becoming the youngest footballer to make his debut at the European Championships and the youngest scorer in the history of the Clasico, the Barcelona star, at the age of 17 years and 4 months, è became the youngest player to win the Golden Boy, an award that celebrates the best under-21 player at the European level.

The Spaniard received, from the 50 voting journalists, 488 votes out of 500 available and will receiveà the trophy during the award ceremony to be held in Turin on December 16.

"For me è it is an honor to win this award, è a dream come true. I thank those who voted for me and the fans, as well as my teammates and the staff of Barcelona and Spain" these are the words of Lamine Yamal after the officialism of the triumph.

In his two years as a professional footballer, the 2007 class has blazed the trail by setting several records between club and national teams. He became the youngest first-team debutant with the Catalans, at age 15 years, 9 months and 16 days. On Aug. 20, 2023, at age 16 years and 38 days è he was deployed as a starter for the first time in his career. With the Spanish national team, however, at only 16 years and 56 days è he managed to become the youngest rookie and the Red Furies’ earliest scorer.
