League B has a new president: Paolo Bedin

It's Paolo Bedin the new president of the B League: the 55-year-old executive from Vicenza, Italy, è was elected on the third ballot, gaining 15 preferences. Bedin è the third president in the history of the league that brings together, since 2010, the clubs of the cadet series, after Andrea Abodi (from 2010 to 2017) and Mauro Balata (extraordinary commissioner in 2017, president until yesterday).

Married and father of two, with a degree in political science with masters and specialization courses in sports management, Bedin has extensive experience as a sports executive, particularly in soccer, first as marketing and commercial manager, then as general manager of clubs such as Vicenza and Venezia and later of leagues such as the B League itself and the Lega Pro.

At the international level è representative and member of the Board of the European Leagues, the association of the European professional soccer leagues (in quota of the second and third division leagues), he also held the position of General Manager in B Futura Srl, a consulting company on the design of sports facilities created by the LNPB.

Bedin è also among the founders and Vice-President of ASSI, the Italian Association of Sports Managers, Member of the scientific committee of the SBS Master in Sport Management at the Università Cà Foscari of Venice and speaker in almost all Italian courses on sport management (SBS, Bocconi Business School, Sole 24 Ore, Bicocca, MasMaCom).
