"Last weekend we received the terrible news that our player Luca Meixner è died suddenly on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the age of 22. The whole SSV family è deeply shocked and stunned".
"His teammates, all committees and employees mourn with Lucas’ survivors and our thoughts are with his family, friends and teammates. We ask that the privacy of Luke’s family be respected at this difficult time" reads the note.
Many social messages have been sent by fans from all over the world to Luca Meixner’s family as a gesture of closeness.
