Federica Brignone and Sofia Goggia lead the blue squadron in Garmisch

Eleven Italian women racers are set to take part in the two-day World Cup in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where a downhill will be run on Saturday and a super-G on Sunday.

They will be at the starting gate Federica Brignone, Marta Bassino, Sofia Goggia, Elena Curtoni, Roberta Melesi, Laura Pirovano, Nicol Delago, Nadia Delago, Vicky Bernardi, Asja Zenere and Sara Thaler will take part in the downhill on Saturday and the SuperG the following day.

Brignone in Garmisch canè boast a second place in the downhill in 2020 and a success in the SuperG in 2022. Goggia, on the other hand, has è never stood on the highest step of the podium, four times on the podium, the last five years ago.

Both exited in yesterday’s giant in Plan de Corones, the two blue leaders are therefore seeking redemption in the German resort, starting with the first round of the free, scheduled already tomorrow.
