Andrea Vendrame gives Italy third joy in Tirreno Adriatico

Andrea Vendrame wins the third stage of the Tirreno Adriatico
Italy continues to rejoice in the Tirreno Adriatico 2025. After Filippo Ganna and Jonathan Milan, è it was Andrea Vendrame who triumphed in the third stage, starting in Follonica and finishing in Colfiorito, ahead of Thomas Pidcock and Romain Grégoire.
Completing the top 5 are Rick Pluimers and Roger Adrià. Sixth and seventh positions for Simone Velasco and Filippo Fiorelli. Eighth place for Spaniard Alex Aranburu, who sprinted ahead of Simone Battistelli and Filippo Ganna, who is confirmed in the blue jersey with a lead of 22" over Juan Ayuso and 29" over Antonio Tiberi.
A day to forget, on the other hand, for Jonathan Milan and Simone Consonni, both protagonists of a fall in the closing stages.
A few seconds after crossing the finish line, stage winner Andrea Vendrame said: "&It was a very tough stage because of the weather conditions. I checked the GC men and in the final I knew I had a good condition to try, and in the end the victory è came. I had marked this stage as one of my goals, but I wasn’t sure if it really suited me. We also have big ambitions with Johannes [Staune-Mittet] for the overall classification of this Tirreno Adriatico".
