Fabio Grosso ready for return to Serie A: "A difficult championship awaits us"

Reduced by the second promotion in his coaching career, Fabio Grosso is ready to lead Sassuolo also in the Serie A championship, which the neroverde club will find again after only one year of purgatory in the cadetteria. The coach launched his challenge on the sidelines of the third edition of Milan Football Week, in the CityLife district of the Lombard capital.

“We said it at the beginning of last year’and we repeat it also in the one we are about to start – began the 2006 world champion -: we are part of a very serious club, which has done beautiful things in Italian soccer for many years. Sassuolo had to face relegation, but it was very good to return to the top category”.

“A difficult championship awaits us – Grosso added -, we will try in every way to succeed in maintaining this category, to plan the future in the best way. Napoli on the first day? Actually I expect all matches to be difficult, we will try to prepare them as best we can and be ready when we face them”.

Grosso then had his say on the various bench changes among the top teams in Serie A: “Every so often this reshuffling happens, we take note of it and move on. We are always subject to change, I am happy to return to Serie A and to do so with a solid club behind us, we will try to do our best”.
