The South Tyrolean tennis player is very solid in response and immediately puts the 22-year-old Dane, number 169 in the ATP rankings, in trouble on serve. The Azzurro gets the break in the fourth game and then in the sixth. Moller shows combativeness and reacts in the seventh game, managing to break serve from the world number one, thanks to a few too many errors by the Italian.

Then the Dane asks for a medical timeout and the intervention of the physiotherapist for an abdominal problem, then resumes playing and suffers the break from Sinner, who closes the first set 6-2.

In the second set after the balance in the first games, the Blue snatched service from his opponent in the sixth game, thanks to two consecutive double faults by Moller. Sinner did not let the opportunity slip away and comfortably closed out the second set 6-3, qualifying for the round of 16.
