The Italian Grand Prix at Mugello provided mixed emotions at Ducati. Pecco Bagnaia managed to take a third place after a race fought until the end, returning to the podium for the second consecutive time. Marc Marquez, on the other hand, who finished in seventh place, played a race characterized by the physical difficulties related to the double surgery faced in recent weeks.

In his traditional post-race commentary, on Linkedin Gigi Dall’Igna wanted to congratulate both riders, “Mugello is one of the most difficult circuits in MotoGP. Pecco and Marc gave everything, each in their own conditions, proving once again that they are great champions,” wrote the general manager of Ducati Corse.

Special words were dedicated to the rider from Chivasso: “This is his second consecutive podium, obtained with a courageous race and a great fight until the last lap – explained Dall’Igna – we have seen a champion again. He started very well, took the lead and tried to make the difference as in his best moments. He defended third place with great determination and this result can give him a lot of confidence for the future.”

Dall’Igna then also praised 93: “You couldn’t ask more from Marc. He raced even against pain and never gave up. He fought like a lion despite a physical condition that was still far from perfect. Only in the finale did he pay for the effort made throughout the race. Kudos to Marc for what he always gives and for the champion he is.”

Finally, the Ducati executive also wanted to highlight the fine performance of Fabio Di Giannantonio, third in the Sprint and fifth in the long race after a great comeback: “Diggia continues to show his talent and determination,” he said. Finally, he sent a final message for the whole team: “Head down and maximum commitment, because the most important thing is to know that you have given everything.” Having archived the Mugello ‘raceweek,’ MotoGP returns to the track immediately: this weekend the MotoGP will stop in Hungary for a new appointment of the season.
