Vincenzo Italiano wants to shop in Italy: two names out of all

As was moreover predictable, the management of Besiktas, after signing Vincenzo Italiano, is looking carefully at Italy to reinforce the squad available to the former Fiorentina and Bologna coach. Among the Istanbul club’s targets are Elia Caprile, a goalkeeper who has shown his full potential between the posts of Cagliari this season, and Armand Laurienté, Sassuolo’s French striker who continues to attract the interest of several clubs but whom the new coach of the neroverde team, Alberto Aquilani, would like to stay in Emilia: should Mattia Liberali arrive from Catanzaro, however, the scenario would change drastically.
On the Liberali front, the competition for Sassuolo is far from negligible. Bologna and Cagliari have also entered the race for the class of 2007, who at Catanzaro experienced a season of great depth culminating in the Serie B playoff final against Monza. The Calabrians, led precisely by Aquilani, had eliminated Palermo in the semifinals – with Liberali lined up behind Iemmello and Pittarello – before bowing out to the Brianzoli in the final act, despite a comeback in the return match at the U-Power Stadium that went as high as 2-0 in the second half.
The bond between the young offensive midfielder and the Roman coach is therefore solid and consolidated by an entire season of working together, an element that explains Sassuolo’s priority interest. In order to snatch him from Catanzaro, however, it will be necessary to satisfy a €6 million exit clause, split 50/50 between Milan and the Calabrian club.
Not only Laurienté and Caprile: Besiktas could also fish in Italy on the midfield front. According to the latest rumors, the Istanbul club has reportedly set its sights on Arthur, the Juventus-owned Brazilian who is still looking for a permanent home after a career studded with loans. The not uninteresting fact is that the midfielder has already worked with Vincenzo Italiano in his Fiorentina days, a circumstance that could favor an understanding and make Besiktas the ideal destination to close a circle that opened now several years ago in Florence.
