The Knicks are NBA Champions. After a 53-year wait, the historic New York franchise is celebrating an NBA title once again. Game 5 was decisive. In San Antonio, Coach Mike Brown’s team prevailed 94-90 to close out the series 4-1.

Once again, a superb performance by Jalen Brunson. The Knicks’ All-Star decided Game 5 (played in San Antonio) with a masterful performance, scoring an impressive 45 points, including 13 straight in the decisive fourth quarter.

“It’s surreal. I still can’t believe it,” said Mike Brown, the coach who managed to bring the NBA championship title back to the Big Apple, as reported by ESPN. “I don’t know how I feel,” said Brunson, named Finals MVP. “I’m stunned. Every time someone wrote us off, we always found a way to come back and turn the situation around.”

“This is the most important lesson of my life, the most significant learning moment,” said Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs’ star player. “I can’t say exactly what the lesson is, but we’re learning.” Meanwhile, New York has literally gone wild over a title that’s been more than half a century in the making.
