Preseason Friendlies: Milan vs. Inter, Probable Lineups

Milan and Inter will face off in a friendly match in Perth, Australia, scheduled for 1 p.m. (Italian time). Before the game, there will be a special tribute to Franco Baresi, the Rossoneri legend who passed away last Friday: the match will be dedicated to his memory.
There’s a lot of anticipation within the Rossoneri camp for Gonçalo Ramos’s debut; he’s expected to start on the bench, as is Rafael Leao, who has returned from the post-World Cup break along with other national team players. Camarda is expected to start from the 1st minute with Loftus-Cheek and Nkunku behind him. Athekame and Bartesaghi will play on the wings, with young Comotto and Ricci in midfield.
The Italian champions, fresh off their penalty shootout victory against Manchester City, are expected to field Pio Esposito and Bonny up front, with Diouf and Dimarco on the wings. In midfield, Chivu is expected to rely on Barella, Stankovic, and Zielinski. The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sport and DAZN, and streamed on Sky Go, Now, and the DAZN app.
Milan vs. Inter: Probable Lineups
MILAN (3-4-2-1): Torriani; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Athekame, Ricci, Comotto, Bartesaghi; Loftus-Cheek, Nkunku; Camarda. Head Coach: Ruben Amorim.
INTER (3-5-2): J. Martinez; Pavard, Bisseck, Bastoni; Diouf, Barella, Stankovic, Zielinski, Dimarco; Esposito, Bonny. Head Coach: Cristian Chivu.
The Australian derby took place amid a deeply emotional atmosphere, just a few days after Baresi’s passing and the day after his funeral, which was held yesterday at the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio in Milan. The ceremony was also marked by moments of tension, with club owner Gerry Cardinale and president Paolo Scaroni greeted by boos and protests from some Rossoneri fans. Applause, however, went to former sporting director Paolo Maldini and Inter president Beppe Marotta. Of Amorim’s squad, only Pulisic and Gimenez were present at the church, with the rest of the team busy on their Australian tour.
