Torino market: confirmation on Che Adams’ departure, granata swoop on replacement

Torino is changing face in attack: in the summer Scottish forward Che Adams, followed by several Premier League clubs, could leave. On the player’s tracks would be Brighton and Wolverhampton: the striker expiring in 2027, who would like a return to the Premier League, could leave for a sum close to 11-12 million euros.
Granata sporting director Petrachi has already moved forward for the possible replacement and for weeks has been sending observers to Sardinia to judge Sebastiano Esposito, the Inter school striker who is making a name for himself with the Cagliari shirt.
The 2002-born forward has scored six goals and five assists in 30 games, and will become a Cagliari player outright for about 4 million euros when the Rossoblù reach safety. Roberto D’Aversa has already worked with Esposito, enhancing him at Empoli, and the Granata executives are increasingly convinced to pull off the coup in attack.
There is no shortage of competitors, particularly Lazio, which has had its eye on the player for some time. And Torino’s attack could change again: Giovanni Simeone’s future is also uncertain, given the rumors coming from Argentina (River Plate) and Turkey (Besiktas).
Not only attack: Petrachi would also be working to reinforce the midfield. Among the names being monitored is Maurits Kjaergaard, a Danish midfielder born in 2003 from Red Bull Salzburg, who has already been approached in the past by Bologna, Fiorentina and Genoa. The player, prized for his game vision and decent scoring ability, would cost an estimated €8 million. Torino will therefore have to beat competition from several Italian teams to secure the Scandinavian talent.
