Napoli is ready to part ways with Cyril Ngonge once again, but with one key difference compared to what happened last January: this time, in fact, the Belgian winger is set to remain in Serie A, after having played for Espanyol in the second half of the 2025–2026 season. For the player born in 2000, this would mark his third loan spell away from the Neapolitan club: before moving to Catalonia, he had played for Torino, though that loan was cut short during the winter transfer window.

According to Sky, Ngonge is on the verge of a transfer to Monza, which has decisively accelerated negotiations in recent hours, reaching an almost complete agreement on the terms of the loan. Ngonge, who is not part of Napoli’s technical plans, would have no problem leaving the club and has, in fact, long been open to a transfer—even on a temporary basis.

Monza, in search of a player capable of operating in the attacking midfield, has identified the Belgian as the ideal reinforcement to complete its offensive lineup. Discussions between the parties have intensified rapidly, and an official announcement is expected shortly; barring any last-minute surprises, the final administrative details should be finalized by the first matchday of the season.

For the Brianza-based club, this would be a targeted addition to bring flair and speed to the wings—qualities that Ngonge demonstrated particularly in the first half of the 2023–2024 season, scoring 6 goals in 19 matches for Hellas Verona before transferring to Napoli during the January 2024 transfer window.
