Torino is moving on the market ahead of next season, starting with a clear objective: to confirm the players who have given positive responses. Roberto D’Aversa’s arrival has unblocked the team and some elements have been more convincing than others.

Standing out among them is Rafael Obrador, a Spanish outside player who arrived in January from Benfica and has quickly become a key pawn in the team. According to reports in La Stampa, the Granata club has already initiated the first contacts with the Portuguese club to buy him outright.

The Toro, however, wants a discount: the initial understanding was around 9 million euros, but the Torino management is trying to lower the figure to make the operation more sustainable.

Obrador has had a very positive impact since his arrival in Piedmont. Under the guidance of Roberto D’Aversa, he has found space with continuity, winning the starting spot on the flank. His performances have convinced both the technical staff and the club, which is now intent on betting on him for the future as well.

The Spanish Under-21 has convinced with his speed, offensive drive and tactical focus and has been instrumental in recent weeks. Called up to the national team, the Iberian has played about half an hour: a limited deployment that could allow him to arrive fresher to the final commitments of the season, with important games on the horizon against Pisa, Verona and Cremonese.
