Ducati, Dall'Igna sheds light on Marc Marquez and prepares for redemption

In the forced hiatus of MotoGP due to the war in the Middle East to make noise are rumors about the physical condition of Marc Marquez, which according to several insiders including Andrea Dovizioso and Dani Pedrosa are more worrying than they seem. After his dominance in 2025, the Catalan rider has seemed to be in great difficulty in this start of the World Championship and is struggling to fight for the podium.
The fall at Mandalika still affects him, so much so that Fabio Di Giannantonio is currently the best of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer, fourth overall, one position ahead of Marquez. Dall’Igna, however, threw water on the fire in an interview with Moto.it: “In my opinion Marc is fine: it’s true that he had a major injury, missed five races at the end of last season and is still completing rehabilitation. But sincerely, I see him in good shape and I believe that in Jerez he will already be one hundred percent.”
Dall’Igna points the finger above all at the system of concessions, introduced to reduce the technical gap: “It is done on purpose to penalize Ducati. The concession system is clearly designed to try to rebalance the forces on the field a bit, effectively penalizing Ducati, which had taken a clear technical advantage in recent years. Having said that, we don’t want to use excuses: we are here to fight for the victory.”
“So we have to roll up our sleeves and do everything we can so that our bike returns to being the benchmark of MotoGP. The Jerez stage will say a lot about this season: Ducati will arrive at the appointment with many new updates. “During that practice session, and probably also in the race, we will test some ideas to find the answers we need.”
