To see the first victory of his career slip away, at not even 22 years of age, a few laps from the end after dominating the race would knock anyone down, but not Charles Leclerc.

In Bahrain, the Ferrari driver paid for a technical failure that relegated him to third place.

Here is the Monegasque’s lucid analysis: “I think we had fuel problems. I’m extremely disappointed, it’s hard to swallow this result. Unfortunately these things happen, but I am confident about the work done by this fantastic team after the problems in Australia.”

There is also room to talk about luck…: “We were lucky with the safety car in the final race. The final result does not satisfy us, but we know we can do better.”
