Just two points in four races
Fernando Alonso’s 2022 has not started well at all. Just two points in the first four races, while his teammate Esteban Ocon is already at 20. Alpine is sixth for the time being and the Spaniard wants to get back to support.
Here are his words, “It has been a difficult period. It’s strange to have scored only two points because I made my best start in the last ten years as a competitor,” he told a press conference. “We were very unlucky between Jeddah, Melbourne and Imola.”
“But I think it’s just a matter of time. Because we are strong and fast,” added the Asturian. “Of course, in bad luck I believe. But over the course of 23 races it will eventually compensate. I will soon get rid of the bad luck.”
