Statements in unison after the Mugello events.

Ducati stern with Marc Marquez after the Mugello events. Pecco Bagnaia snatched the Super Pole that will make him start ahead of everyone in the Sprint Race of the Italian Grand Prix, but he was furious when during the qualifying he found himself the Honda of the Catalan in front at the beginning of a flying lap.

“It is an episode that comments itself. There are judges, they will have to figure out what to do,” Bagnaia cut short at the end of the session.

Practically identical words also came from Davide Tardozzi. “Marquez’s behavior speaks for itself,” the Ducati team manager in fact said.

The incident occurred six minutes from the end of Q2, with Bagnaia still trailing in the standings because he was 11th. However, at the end of his launch lap, when he began to attack the stopwatch, Marquez’s Honda, which had just come out of the pits, parried in front of his Ducati.

The Catalan at that point stayed in the line, triggering Bagnaia’s nervousness. Indeed, cameras caught the 2022 MotoGP world champion as he repeatedly vented his anger with some blatant gestures with his left arm. He then approached Marquez shouting something at him. The Honda bearer’s response was the “No” gesture with his index finger.
