Lorenzo, fierce determination: "We will be the best"

Jorge Lorenzo in an interview with Marca radiates optimism ahead of the World Championship: “I can’t promise anything, but if you are regularly faster than the others you have a much better chance of winning the World Championship. And that is our goal. I am very optimistic, I have a lot of confidence in myself and in the team. I believe that with the help of Andrea, myself and the whole team we will be able to develop the best bike on the grid. I have full confidence in Ducati’s chances and I am sure we will succeed.”

“I went from being within a second of the front runners, to being with the best. To doing the same times I was doing with the Yamaha. The Ducati has great power, ua great acceleration, good electronics, braking stability is good, maybe the best, and this is where we gain on the others. If we can keep these strengths and improve our weaknesses, especially in the corners, the Ducati will become the best bike.”

His future: “I feel very good in Ducati, I felt part of the family right away. When I went to the factory the first time, they received me in such a spectacular way that I was almost moved. I believe a lot in the project, and I think it is a winning project: if it is not, it will be very soon anyway.”
