Marek Hamsik to Napoli: agent holds off on return
Reached by Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, Marek Hamsik’s agent Martin Petras spoke about the Slovak’s possible return to Naples, obviously in the role of manager: “There has been talk about it for some time but many people want him. He would not mind at all but he has to decide everything quietly.”
“Trabzonspor would also be ready to offer him a three-year deal in order to keep him in Turkey. He is well liked by everyone, even Slovakia coach Calzona would like to give him a role in the national team. And it’s not over because there is also a request from his wife Martina who would like him back home and that’s it (laughs, ed.). We will know more in the coming weeks,” Petras sentenced.
Hamsik wore the Neapolitan club jersey for 12 seasons, including six as captain, winning two Italian Cups (2011-2012 and 2013-2014) and an Italian Super Cup (2014). He is the record holder in terms of appearances in the Napoli jersey. He is also the second most present foreign footballer in Serie A with one team behind Javier Zanetti.
