Marc Marquez frustrated: Alberto Puig admits difficulties
On the sidelines of MotoGp practice in Valencia, Honda team principal Puig talks about the situation at HRC and the disappointment of Marc Marquez
“When you are so far behind you know you have to improve in everything”: on the sidelines of MotoGp testing in Valencia, HRC Honda team manager Alberto Puig admitted the difficulties the team is going through. Marc Marquez said he was very disappointed after the first day of testing with the bike the team will use in 2023.
“Now we are testing everything they brought us, it’s a prototype with a lot of modifications. We brought two different prototypes and tested the first one; there were things that worked and things that didn’t work. Now it is difficult to know if we have improved.”
Puig doesn’t mince words: “We have to improve in everything. In power, in braking, in corner entry. Everything. When you’re behind you know what you have to improve in something; but when you’re that far behind, that’s it. We are not well, we have to improve. Mir? He doesn’t know the bike and everything is more complicated for him.”
