True Volley Monza, season over. Trento in final for fifth place

Vero Volley Monza’s path in the playoffs for fifth place stops in the semifinals. At the Opiquad Arena, in front of the home crowd, the Brianza lineup succumbed 0-3 (21-25; 16-25; 16-25) to Itas Trentino, which thus detached the pass for the final. What made the difference were mainly wall and service, fundamentals in which the visiting team showed more incisiveness, closing the match with nine winning walls and six ace.
Between the protagonists of the evening stands out Jordi Ramon, top scorer of the match with 16 points and awarded MVP. In Vero Volley’s house, the best scorer was instead the Bulgarian Velichkov, author of 11 points.
With this knockout, Vero Volley Monza’s season closes, a year that nevertheless leaves positive indications. In fact, the Brianzoli achieved the qualification to the Italian Cup at the end of the first round of the Regular Season and subsequently gained access to the Play Off Scudetto at the end of the return.
The growth path of several young players, including Frascio and Velichkov himself, protagonists of a progressive increase in responsibility and space during the season, should also be underlined.
The team’s performance was also positive.
