Inter, the Scudetto can be mathematical next weekend: all the combinations

Despite the comeback collected on the Torino pitch, Inter can still close the Scudetto discourse as early as next weekend, when the 35th day of Serie A will be staged. The draw in the post-match between Milan and Juventus has in fact left the Nerazzurri with a reassuring margin: Chivu’s team remains +10 ahead of Conte’s Napoli and +12 ahead of Allegri’s Milan, with just 12 points still available between now and the end.

The 0-0 at San Siro, however, also delivers a first certainty: Inter will not be able to graduate as champions as early as Saturday, not even should Napoli fall in Como.

With three rounds still to play after the next one (and thus 9 points up for grabs), the Nerazzurri will only need to get a result at least equal to Napoli and Milan to arithmetically win the 21st Scudetto. And this is where the calendar can make the difference.

Napoli will be engaged on Saturday, May 2, at 6 p.m. on the field of Como, while Milan will take the field on Sunday at 3 p.m. away against Sassuolo. Inter, on the other hand, will close its Sunday schedule at 8:45 p.m. by hosting Parma.

Translated: if both Napoli and Milan lose, Inter would become champions even before taking the field, but it would still have to wait until the end of the Rossoneri’s challenge (around 5 p.m. Sunday) to be mathematically certain of the title. If, on the other hand, Napoli were to win in Como, then the Nerazzurri would compulsorily need a success against Parma to celebrate immediately, avoiding postponing everything until the next day.
