Paul Pogba, Juventus’ talent and desire of all top European clubs, turns 23 today. Just on his birthday, he told his story in a long interview with Fifa.com in which he talked about his dreams.
For being so young, Pogba has a lot of pressure on him but, as he himself said, he must be able to bear it: “I want to win the Scudetto with Juve. And then, I would like to make the dream of winning the European Championship with France a reality. When you have important goals, in life or in your work, you have to be able to bear a lot of responsibility. My dream is to have a great career, so if I want to achieve it I have to adapt quickly to this situation.”
These were the words of the newly 23-year-old, who went on to talk about his idols, who played against each other in the 98 World Cup final, when Paul, just 5 years old, saw his France team win against Brazil: “Ronaldo was my idol, he is the one who made me fall in love with soccer. His technique, his pace and flair for goal, but also the variety of his plays, was something I admired. And of course there was Zidane, a French icon, someone we won’t forget.”
