Allegri’s team knocks out the Nerazzurri thanks to Barzagli’s goal (first goal since 2012), and Lemina’s mark in the final: Buffon is 100′ away from the all-time unbeaten record, held by Sebastiano Rossi.
Milan disappoints, defeated in Reggio Emilia 2-0 by Sassuolo: the neroverdi sink the Diavolo with goals from Duncan (powerful left foot) and Sansone, Mihajlovic sent off for protests after the hosts’ second goal was spoiled by an earlier foul. The Emiliani closed in 10 for a red for Defrel, Balotelli bad among the Rossoneri.
Valuable victory in the salvation key for Frosinone, which overcame Udinese 2-0 at home and moved to -1 from fourth-last-place Palermo: red alert for the Friulani, drowned out by goals from Ciofani (right-footed from the edge) and Blanchard (header), and now just four points from the relegation zone.
