Today, at 5 p.m., appointment at the Forum for Olimpia Milano-Pallacanestro Trieste. It will be the last home game for the red and whites before the start of the playoffs. The goal of coach Peppe Poeta’s team is to extend the winning streak to four so as to certify the mathematical conquest of third place. In theory, Olimpia would still have a chance to improve its position in the standings but that is beyond its control. Third place, on the other hand, is.

“Trieste is a team we know well, which we have faced twice already this season and has a lot of offensive talent. It has already qualified for the playoffs and this shows how strong it is. The main characteristic is the ability to play at a high pace and create opportunities through transition play. Compared to the previous two games, they can field a new long – Josh Bannan – who immediately proved to be very well suited to their system,” the words of Emilio Kovacic, Peppe Poeta’s assistant coach.

Diego Flaccadori returns to join the group, although he never practiced with the team and therefore will not be used. Armoni Brooks goes on the court with the label of MVP candidate of the season (as did the day’s opponent Jahmi’Us Ramsey); Leandro Bolmaro and Josh Nebo were nominated as best defenders.

The highlight of the event will be, however, during the long intermission when great Kyle Hines will be honored for his induction into the Olimpia Hall of Fame. The 39-year-old U.S. all-star played in Milan for four seasons (from 2020 to 2024), winning six titles with the Biancorossi (three Scudetti).
