Russell warns Ferrari

Ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix, the penultimate Gp of the season, George Russell spoke to Sky Sports microphones, making clear what Mercedes’ goal is. The German team is aiming to oust Ferrari from second place in the Constructors’ Championship standings and would like to try to overtake it as early as this weekend, arriving at the last round of the season in Abu Dhabi with the Red car behind it.

“This year’s car is very different than the one Mercedes had last year,” Russell said. “Our performance in Mexico was a little more positive than expected, and our main fight is to finish ahead of Ferrari. Red Bull has been the most solid team on every single circuit, here with the long straights I expect they can have an efficient car. It will still be the team to beat.”

Ferrari was founded in 1947 by Enzo Ferrari, in Maranello, in the province of Modena. It is involved in the Formula One World Championship, where it holds the record for the number of world Constructors’ titles won (16), and in the FIA Sport Prototypes and Endurance World Championships. The official symbol is that of the prancing horse on a yellow background, the color representing the city of Modena.
