Fortitudo Bologna dominated in game one of the A2 quarterfinals by overwhelming Avellino 76-58. Convincing performance of the hosts back at PalaDozza, the top scorer is Sorokas with 17 points, Sarto closes with 12, De Vico with 10. After the game Fortitudo coach Attilia Caja commented with satisfaction on his team’s performance.

“We immediately put the game on the right defensive tracks, it was precisely our defense that allowed us to take it home. On offense we played in spurts but maintained a good rhythm, despite some problems with rotations. We were not very fluid at the direction but we file this game knowing that the second game of the series is always the most difficult one.”

“We have to have few parties and reset,” warned Bologna’s coach, “the real gap is not this, Avellino is a great team and we have to be ready on Saturday and definitely brighter on offense.”

Caja commented positively on Anumba’s performance, “I’m happy for him that he is having good games, but he has also done better. He had an important growth, but today also De Vico was ready, Sarto was solid, we found many answers, also Guaiana.”

The condition of Moore: “He had a muscle contracture, we hope to have him for Saturday. He still gave his contribution.”
