In the two matches of the thirty-sixth day of Serie A played at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Cremonese beat Pisa with a net 3-0 and kept the salvation race open, while Fiorentina drew 0-0 with Genoa and definitively left behind any ghost of relegation, finding the point that would have been enough regardless of the result at the “Zini.”

Against a team already arithmetically in Serie B and in ten from 23′ due to the red card to Bozhinov (for the Bulgarian die yellow cards in the space of seven minutes), the grigiorossi have a rather easy game, closing the first half ahead thanks to the goal at 31′ by Jamie Vardy, who returned to score for the first time since last January 8.

In the second half the match becomes even more favorable for the hosts: Bonazzoli doubles at 51′, Loyola leaves Pisa in nine for a killer intervention against Pezzella that is worth the direct red, Okereke realizes the tris at minute 86 closing the accounts definitively. Cremonese thus rises to 31 points, -1 from fourth-last-place Lecce, with two games still to play.

At the “Franchi” instead, the festival of boredom is staged between Fiorentina, which only needed a point to reach arithmetic, and Genoa, which has already been quiet for some time. Very few interesting actions for a 0-0 decidedly unwelcome by the home crowd, which expressed its displeasure with resounding whistles at the close of the match.

In the standings, the Viola rise to 38 points and are no longer reachable by the third-last Cremonese, Daniele De Rossi’s team instead rises to 41 and is just above the Gigliati in the standings, in fourteenth place.
