Pecco Bagnaia bitter: "We know very well where the problem"

For Pecco Bagnaia that of Le Mans seemed to be the weekend of rebirth: first the pole position conquered on Saturday, then the second place however satisfactory of the Sprint, finally a race as a protagonist on Sunday. Everything, however, melted like snow in the sun at the Dunlop Curve on lap 16: a fall in fact forced the three-time world champion to be unable to add points to his name in the MotoGp World Championship standings.
“We were finally fast from the beginning of the weekend, proof that we have worked well and are growing – said a bitter Bagnaia to the microphones of ‘Sky Sport’ -. Even in the race we were fighting, I had managed to recover after a difficult start, but then we had an inconvenience, let’s call it that: lap after lap, I started to lose confidence on the front end.”
“We know very well where the problem is, it’s the same as last time – the Piedmontese centaur then commented -. The team is working to solve it. It can happen but it’s a shame. What happened? At one point I couldn’t get into the corners as I wanted to. It burns me because we were fast all weekend: I took pole, we were competitive today, then what happened happened.”
Despite the bitterness, there remains optimism that we have regained that competitiveness that has been missing throughout 2025 and the very early part of 2026: “I have full confidence in the work we are doing. I am sure that we will arrive in Barcelona with further positive feelings, I hope for further progress to put us at the level of Aprilia.”
