Robert Lewandowski clears doubts about his future

We are less than two months away from the expiration of Robert Lewandowski’s contract with Barcelona, and the Polish center forward has not yet decided what his next destination will be. One thing, however, is certain: he will continue to play. In recent weeks, many have raised the possibility of retirement but Lewandowski has cleared his doubts categorically.

“We will see what happens but the certain thing is that I will continue playing. There might be an opportunity in a lower league-I’m almost 38 but I feel good physically, so I’m thinking about it. However, I have to keep in mind that it might be time for me to play while enjoying life,” he told Canal+.

“Maybe this opportunity will arise and I am not ruling it out. I just found out that I have 51 days left on my contract, so I still have time. I will listen to some other offers and then decide. I appreciate the situation I’m in and I like it,” said the Polish bomber who has also been approached by some Serie A clubs.

Juventus seems particularly interested since they will change a lot in attack in the summer: Lois Openda and Jonathan David turned out to be two less-than-stellar operations and may already be packing their bags. For the renewal of Dusan Vlahovic there is confidence but evidently a graft will be needed to meet Luciano Spalletti’s demands.

Attention also to AC Milan: Igli tare at the beginning of the year met Robert Lewandowski’s agents for an informal interview useful for gathering information. A lot will depend on Jerry Cardinale: the Rossoneri’s latest negative results have cast several shadows on Massimiliano Allegri, consequently before any market talk can be set up there will be a question of who will be at the helm of Milan next season.
