Milan market: in the crosshairs another veteran coming out of Real Madrid

Acc Milan is sounding out the market in search of zero-parameter reinforcements in the summer, and among the targets would be Dani Carvajal, who is leaving Real Madrid. The blanco defender, born in 1992, is expiring his contract and will leave the Madrilenians in a few weeks, after winning no less than 27 trophies, one less than Luka Modric, who moved to Milan just last summer.
Massimiliano Allegri, if he remains on the Rossoneri bench, would greatly appreciate the arrival of a player capable of covering both the role of side and third right in a three-man defense, with great experience and international carat. Modric himself could become a real sponsor to lure Carvajal to Milanello.
The Spanish national (who has not been called up for the 2026 World Cup), is also followed by other top clubs such as Inter Milan, and has requests in MLS as well. The separation between Carvajal and Real Madrid had been in the air for several months. During the season that had just ended, the right-back had experienced an increasingly frayed relationship with the management and with successive coaches on the Madrid bench-first Xabi Alonso, then Alvaro Arbeloa-who had used him sparingly despite his full recovery from his knee injury. Cameras had repeatedly caught him lashing out animatedly, a clear sign of a deep malaise in an environment already scarred by internal tensions and a season that ended without a title, the second consecutive one for the Blancos.
The revolution at Real Madrid will be total: according to rumors circulated in recent weeks, at least nine top players will leave the club in the summer. In defense, in addition to Carvajal, the departures of David Alaba, Ferland Mendy, Fran García and Antonio Rüdiger are expected. A real diaspora that opens up interesting market scenarios for Italian clubs, Milan and Inter in the lead, ready to take advantage of bargains at low cost or even at zero parameter.
