After Thursday night’s success in game-3, Germani Brescia has regained the home court factor in the series against Trieste but could also return to Lombardy directly for the semifinals (against Olimpia Milano, which has already passed the round) if it were to expose the Julian arena again in the fourth game of the series scheduled for Saturday night. However, Matteo Cotelli, coach of the biancazzurri, does not want to hear about inertia in their favor, explaining that he expects a very difficult match.

“We are expected in game-4, a crucial challenge in the course of our quarterfinals – said Germani’s coach at the match presentation -. We have the utmost respect for our opponents and I still expect a very complex challenge and an authentic sports battle with a high rate of physicality.”

“Trieste is with its back to the wall: I am sure, that it will do everything possible to try to win in front of its audience, which is always warm and passionate, to take the series to game-5 – added the coach of Brescia, explaining what he fears most about Saturday’s match -. We will have to take a further step forward in terms of the care to be paid to individual details, showing progress in terms of reading and consequent management of the various junctures within the game.”

In game-3 Brescia won 84-80, dragged by Miro Bilan’s 20-point and 12-rebound performance and by Jason Burnell’s all-around performance, author of 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Trieste, on the other hand, needed neither the 18 points scored by both Markel Brown and Colbey Ross nor Joshua Bannan’s 17.
