Market, Juventus tries red and blue double shot: Bologna and Cagliari are thinking about it

Juventus is accelerating in the market despite the fact that the football event par excellence, the World Cup, is starting at the same time. The Bianconeri management is working on several fronts in parallel and has put a defender and an offensive joker in its sights. The new names, in particular, are those of Bologna’s Jhon Lucumí and Cagliari’s Gianluca Gaetano, two profiles that meet the technical needs of Luciano Spalletti.
The negotiations with Bologna, which according to Sky Sport are already well underway, cannot disregard the 28 million clause, valid until mid-July, to break the current contract. A time window that Juventus is carefully evaluating: beyond that date, in fact, the risk is that of an upward auction, with the entry of Premier League clubs always ready to move with great economic force. The Colombian is considered a reliable defender, already ready for the definitive leap in quality, but the negotiation is not simple.
On the offensive front, instead, the idea leads to Gianluca Gaetano, relaunched in the last season at Cagliari and ended up in the Bianconeri’s sights according to TMW. The Sardinian club has not yet given an answer: rather than a dry transfer, the club is reasoning on the possible inclusion of a technical quid pro quo, a solution that could make the operation more articulated but also more viable. At the moment, however, contacts remain at an embryonic stage.
At the same time, Juventus continues to work on two heavy dossiers: Dibu Martinez for the goal and Alexander Sorloth for the attack. Both, however, are committed to the World Cup and are unlikely to make any decisions as long as their respective national teams remain in the running in the World Cup. Juve, meanwhile, tries to build a fast track with the entourages, knowing that the right time to lunge will only come later.
