LND Takes the Field to Promote the Right to Make Mistakes: “Not a Limitation, but a Learning Opportunity”

The National Amateur League (LND) has launched a social campaign dedicated to the right to make mistakes, created in collaboration with Pigna and Serenis and aimed at young athletes who participated in the recent Final 4 of the Italian Football Cup, the Italian High School Tournament, and the LND youth finals in Guidonia Montecelio. The initiative was designed to provide an opportunity for direct dialogue with Generation Z, combining the competitive context of soccer with an educational message focused on awareness and mental health.
The organizers and partner companies helped distribute over 300 erasers, symbolizing the ability to correct a mistake and start over. During the matches, a message deliberately written with a grammatical error was also displayed on the big screens to emphasize that mistakes can happen and should not become an obstacle, raising awareness among the students about the importance of dealing with mistakes in a healthy way, without fear or excessive pressure.
Luca De Simoni, LND CSR Area Coordinator, explained the purpose of the initiative: “We believe that young people’s well-being also depends on their ability to deal with mistakes in a healthy and constructive way,” he said. “With this campaign, we want to promote a sports culture that views mistakes not as limitations, but as opportunities for learning, growth, and self-awareness, because every journey—in sports as in life—is made up of attempts, challenges, and missteps from which we can learn to come back stronger,” he added.
