Tadej Pogacar continues to dominate the Tour de Suisse with a performance worthy of a true champion. The Slovenian rider from UAE Team Emirates-XRG won convincingly on the fourth stage, a 23.7-kilometer individual time trial starting and finishing in Aarburg, once again confirming his superiority.

Leading from the intermediate checkpoint onward, the world champion clocked a time of 26’37”, averaging a remarkable 53.392 km/h. This clear victory allows him to further strengthen his lead in the general classification on the eve of the decisive final stage.

Finishing just behind him was an outstanding Mathieu van der Poel. The Dutch rider from Alpecin-Deceuninck put in an exceptional performance but fell short by just four hundredths of a second, narrowly missing victory. Rounding out the day’s podium was Norway’s Tobias Foss of INEOS Grenadiers.

Fourth place went to Mathias Vacek, who—after passing the intermediate checkpoint virtually neck-and-neck with Pogacar—lost ground in the second half of the course, finishing just over ten seconds behind. Tim Wellens took fifth place, rounding out an excellent day for UAE Team Emirates-XRG and finishing 12 seconds behind his teammate. The top Italian was Antonio Tiberi, who finished 16th, 47 seconds behind.

Thanks to this victory, Pogacar further solidifies his lead in the general classification. The Slovenian now holds a 4’22” advantage over Richard Carapaz and a 4’27” lead over Vacek. Andrea Bagioli also had a strong performance, defending his position and moving up to fourth place in the standings, just over twenty seconds behind second place.
