Paul Eboua could leave Olimpia Milano again in the coming weeks. According to rumors reported by La Prealpina, there are confirmed reports of strong interest from Bertram Derthona in the 26-year-old Cameroonian forward—who was trained in Italy—and who played first for Trapani and then for ASVEL last season.

Left without an Italian player following Arturs Strautins’ departure, the Piedmont-based team is looking for another Italian-trained player, and Eboua appears to be the right choice. Olimpia, which owns his contract, had placed a restriction prohibiting his transfer to Italian clubs, but the excellent working relationship between the two clubs should overcome this obstacle.

Eboua is also receiving significant contract offers from abroad (France and Spain in particular), which could complicate matters for Tortona. It’s also possible that Eboua could stay in Milan, a scenario that might materialize if Ousmane Diop does not remain; Coach Poeta will have to make a decision with the front office.

The player averaged 7.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 18.8 minutes over his first 18 EuroLeague games. In the French league, he averaged 8.4 points and 5 rebounds.
