After failing to qualify for the Champions League and his abrupt departure from Milan, Massimiliano Allegri is ready to start fresh in Naples. Aurelio De Laurentiis has chosen the Tuscan coach to replace Antonio Conte, and an official announcement is expected shortly.

However, Allegri is already mapping out the future of Napoli, and his top priority is likely to be signing a new center forward. Among the former Milan manager’s top targets is Alexander Sørloth, the powerful striker from Atlético Madrid who is also on Juventus’s radar.

Although he is under contract with the Colchoneros through 2028, the Norwegian center forward does not want to continue his stint in Spain and is looking for a new team. Atlético Madrid’s asking price is around 40 million euros; it remains to be seen whether Aurelio De Laurentiis will be willing to open his wallet.

In a recent interview with *La Gazzetta dello Sport*, the Napoli owner was clear: “I’m looking for a coach with great character, humility, and enthusiasm. Napoli is a healthy and strong club, with a roster that lacks nothing—and if it hadn’t suffered dozens of injuries, it would certainly have been in the running for the Scudetto until the very end.”
