A gift with a special dedication for Alessia Orro: “Like Jannik Sinner”

Without a doubt, Alessia Orro is one of the most popular volleyball players in the world, and she recently received a special gift from Sardinian painter Massimo Onnis. Onnis, who has created works for numerous champions throughout his artistic career, presented Orro with a stunning painting depicting the volleyball player against the backdrop of the Sardinian flag.
“If there’s one young woman who embodies Sardinian spirit, I think it’s her. Alessia isn’t just the multi-titled champion we know; above all, she’s a young woman deeply connected to her homeland and to the values she never forgets,” he told La Nuova Sardegna.
Massimo Onnis has also created a piece for Jannik Sinner and sees several similarities between the champion from San Candido and Alessia Orro: “Just as Jannik is a young man everyone would want as a friend and every mother would want as a son, Alessia Orro embodies the same values. I hope this artwork will accompany Alessia throughout her life and bring her good luck, just as it has for Jannik Sinner, who has won nearly every Grand Slam tournament since I created a painting dedicated to him.”
“I also dedicated a painting to Fabio Aru from Villacidro, who became the only Sardinian cyclist to win the Italian championship and wear the yellow jersey at the Tour de France. “I’m glad I was able to meet Alessia, thanks in part to the efforts of Orfeo Ruiu, president of the La Caletta Yacht Club,” concluded Onnis.
