On Thursday, Tezenis Verona officially announced the contract extension for head coach Alessandro Ramagli, who signed a contract valid through June 30, 2028. He first took the helm of the Verona-based club in 2012, then moved to Siena in 2015. In February 2021, he returned to Verona and subsequently spent some time in Bergamo before coming back to the city of the Arena.

“Some stories, even when they seem to be over, take a long, winding path and then come full circle,” Ramagli said after the contract renewal. “Twelve months ago, it seemed as though my adventure in Verona had come to an end, but today we’re here celebrating a victory, a prestigious promotion to Serie A, and the contract renewal that will allow me to continue leading this team and representing the city of Verona.”

“We know how tough the league will be; we know we’re the newcomers, but we’ll always have the pride and the desire to defend our home turf—which, for me, is Verona in every sense.”

“I’m certain we’ll be able to instill in everyone who becomes part of this team the desire to defend it. Nothing could have a greater impact in a league where there will be top-tier teams and where we’ll have to fight tooth and nail to secure every victory,” the coach said.
