Wimbledon 2026 will once again have a strong Italian presence. The main draw of the Championships will feature a large—and, as all Italian tennis fans hope, competitive—contingent of Italian players, led by world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, the defending champion on the London grass.

In addition to him, the men’s singles field will feature Flavio Cobolli (No. 9 seed), Luciano Darderi (No. 14), Matteo Arnaldi (No. 32), Lorenzo Sonego, Mattia Bellucci, and Matteo Berrettini—the latter always highly anticipated on the courts where he reached the 2021 final against Novak Djokovic.

In the women’s singles, Italy is counting on Jasmine Paolini (No. 13 seed), coming off a first half of the season with a few too many stumbles, Elisabetta Cocciaretto, and Tyra Caterina Grant, with the Italian-American securing a spot in the main draw by advancing through qualifying and confirming her steady improvement.

In doubles: in the men’s doubles, the most solid pair in Italian tennis returns: Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori (the pair is seeded No. 4), while in the women’s doubles, Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini (seeded No. 6) will try to make their mark by putting their recent struggles behind them.
