Not that there was any doubt, but now it’s official. Armoni Brooks is a new player for ASVEL Villeurbanne and will be coached by former San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker.

The red-and-white club wanted to thank the MVP of the most recent regular season and the 2026 LBA Finals: “Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano wishes Armoni Brooks all the best and thanks him for the two seasons we spent together and his contribution to achieving the historic Triple Crown. During his two seasons in Milan, Brooks exemplified exemplary conduct and was deserving of the three MVP awards he won. Brooks will always hold a special place in the club’s recent history.”

Here, meanwhile, is the official statement from the French club: “Armoni Brooks joins LDLC ASVEL. The American guard (28 years old, 193 cm) arrives in Villeurbanne after a stellar season with Olimpia Milano. A true offensive threat, renowned for his long-range shooting and ability to create his own shot, Armoni Brooks will bring his firepower to the Villeurbanne roster. After playing in the NBA with Houston, Toronto, and Brooklyn before establishing himself on the European stage, Brooks took his game to the next level this season, becoming one of the EuroLeague’s most prolific offensive players. His efficiency from beyond the arc, his ability to make an impact in just a few possessions, and his scoring instinct make him one of the most feared guards on the continent.

After an extraordinary season with Milan, he played a pivotal role in his team’s success in Italy: league MVP, Italian champion, Finals MVP, and winner and MVP of the Italian Cup. He will wear jersey number 12.
